Luke Wagner runs Tasmania's largest picture framing shop based at 72 Brisbane Street in Hobart. Luke has been Hobart's leading art framer for many years , first establishing his studio and workshops in 1988. He now runs a very sophisticated and professional service with a very experienced and capable crew of staff and a host of advanced equipment and machinery.
Luke embarked on a tandem career as an artist in 1993. He paints from a purpose built studio in the foothills of Mount Wellington at Ridgeway. He uses hand ground oil paint in many layers on linen to build up a rich and intricate paint surface. Luke regularly exhibits in Hobart and on the mainland of Australia ,he has held over twenty solo shows of his work. Demand for his paintings is strong and his work is held in numerous collections.
